G2 Ergonomic’s Grant Baylor Clinches National Enduro Championship

Grant Baylor came into the final round of the 2020 Kenda AMA National Enduro Championship needing only to finish 11th or better to wrap up the title. The FactoryONE Sherco team rider opted for better and claimed the number-one plate for 2020 with the overall win over his older brother, Steward, who finished out the season in second. Grant, however, had to fight for the day’s win, as Stewart battled the Sherco rider right down to the final test of the year. Unfortunately for him, Steward came up just four seconds short of beating his “little” brother.

Grant rode conservatively off the start of the Caprock Canyon National Enduro in west Texas but picked up is pace as the day went on, winning two of the five tests on the day.

“Obviously I was a little bit nervous, but I knew all I needed to do was just get through the race today and come out of it healthy,” Grant said. “As long as I came out healthy and the bike finished, I basically had the championship. So that was my goal. I didn’t doubt the bike. The bike has been solid all year. Other than that, I just had to keep it on two wheels, and I did all day. I just wanted to stay smooth and I ended up getting the win here today.”
