Two decades of Throttle Innovation
Since 2003, G2 Ergonomics has dedicated its focus to throttles, and more specifically, throttle control. We believe whether riding or racing a motorcycle, it all starts at the right wrist. Why not ensure you have the best possible throttle control for your situation?
Why Change Throttle Control?
Imagine your computer mouse pointer was locked at one speed? Set too fast you overshoot click buttons. Too slow and the mouse rolls off your desk. Seems crazy, right? At G2 Ergonomics, we thought it was even more crazy that the stock throttle tube pulley (we call it a “cam”) was the same size/rate-of-turn for almost all motorcycle models. Whether you rode a DR400, YZ450F, KTM990 or even an R1 – all had the same size cam! Now consider riders of all skill levels from beginner through professional! How could one cam size possibly be ideal for all of these riders on all of these models (not to mention terrain variables like sand, rocks, mud, etc)? Quite simply – it can’t!
This motivated us to create the original G2 Throttle Cam System (TCS). The TCS offers cam ratio options to choose the best possible ratio to match YOUR riding ability + YOUR bike’s power characteristics + YOUR riding conditions. We stock well over 100 different cams to provide the perfect options for your particular model. Other brands use the same handful of cams whether you ride a YZ250F or an R1, then require the use of their inferior imported throttle housing and cables. At G2, most throttles are designed to fit inside your high-quality stock throttle housing and to your high-quality stock cables!
