Quick Turn Throttles for KTM
The G2 Quick Turn Throttle tube for KTM increases throttle response by decreasing throttle rotation (less turn). This throttle is extremely popular for 250F racers and very aggressive 450 racers.
Less throttle turn keeps your elbows high and in a proper “attack” position! This is the EXACT throttle ratio used by the TiLUBE Honda team in Arenacross and Supercross, and Cody Barnes on the Phoenix Honda GNCC Factory Team! It is also an effective solution for riders with limited wrist mobility.
The Quick Turn Throttle Tube for KTM consists of the ultra-smooth G2 tube with Delrin inserts designed with a throttle pulley approximately 10% larger than stock (or more for certain models). This translates into about 10 degrees less “twist” necessary to reach wide open. To put this into perspective, a 3% change is noticeable, so a 10% increase is a significant difference!
Can I get by with a throttle tube or do I need a complete Throttle System?
Many KTM models have extra inner clearance inside the stock throttle housing, or controller. For these models, we can offer a quicker pull by simply increasing the size of the throttle tube’s pulley. In this case, simply installing our Quick Turn Throttle Tube into your stock throttle housing works great!
Unfortunately, some models do not have this extra inner clearance. For this reason the only quicker option is to replace the entire throttle housing, and for some models a G2 conversion cable is needed. Regardless, all necessary throttle parts (except the grip – sold separately) are included to give you the rate of quickness you select!
Quick Turn Throttle Tube for KTM can improve your riding in several ways:
- Your bike’s power characteristics will seem far more quick – as you turn the throttle, your bike will rev faster than before.
- Less overall turn is required to reach full throttle. This is a huge benefit to riders with limited wrist mobility.
- Less turn allows you to more easily stay in the proper riding position. You will notice less elbow drop as you turn the throttle.
Are Delrin bushings better than ball bearings?
Standard ball bearing type throttle tubes seem like a great idea. Once installed and you’re twisting the throttle (with the bike on a stand and the engine off) it sure feels sweet! But give it a “real world test”. While you’re sitting on the bike, push down on the grip as you turn. You will immediately feel the aluminum tube contact the handlebar.
With G2 Throttles, the Delrin bushings prevent this completely! Push down all you want! In addition, ball bearings require constant maintenance (unlike our ball bearing product called the Jimmy Twister), or the bearing will rust and seize up. Not so with a G2 throttle tube with Delrin bushings!

In addition, the Quick Turn Throttle Tube for KTM includes a Delrin Friction Plate, which looks like a thin, black washer. This is slid onto the handlebar before the throttle tube and inside of the throttle housing. This stops aluminum-on-aluminum contact for a smooth, precise feel even while pushing inward!
Using handguards? No problem with the G2 Throttle Tamer Tube for KTM! The end cap is removeable (see above pic) and allows easy handguard installation. The knurled area provides solid grip adhesion. Just put on a good quality grip (we highly recommend Domino Grips) and you’re good to go!
Quick Turn Throttle for KTM Highlights
- CNC machined, polished and anodized 6061 aluminum!
- Self-lubricating Delrin bushings at each end of tube eliminate aluminum-to-aluminum contact and provide an ultra-smooth feel.
- Quick turn throttle fits inside the stock throttle housing to stock cables, while quick turn systems replace the stock throttle tube, housing and sometimes cable.
- Slide one of our Domino Grips (sold separately) or your grip unto the Quick Turn Throttle Tube.
- Removable end cap eliminates the need to cut the end of the throttle tube when using dirt bike handguards
- For the smoothest throttle action possible, try adding our Jimmy Twister Throttle Bearing!
- Installs in minutes!

I was looking for a shorter pull and was having an issue with the dual throttle cable sticking when I turned hard to the throttle side – this was a great fix; throttle snaps back and I like the response better than stock – installation was a little difficult for me, directions are good for some but I could of used more detail

Smoothest throttle tube I’ve ever used. Highly recommend this one with the Jimmy Twister. Makes install very easy with perfect response on my 450 SX. I was thinking about remapping to get more out of the bottom end but this was all I needed. Bike pulls much harder and is more responsive in the low rpm range.

i ordered 2 throttles from you, on dec 8th a 20% quicker ktm throttle, ref g2-33825, and on jan 25th a 10% one ref g2-34116 because i was not sure which one would be best for me. both throttles came in packaging with the same part number, 50-315 but they are both different. if you look at the photos they both have the same number on the cam,050k, but the one with the larger numbers is quicker than stock. the other one i think is slower than stock. there is a picture with the stock ktm throttle in the middle and you can see the one with the small numbers looks to be a smaller diameter than the stock one and it feels slower when installed on the bike. obviously i can’t easily return it to you as i am in the uk but if you could send me another cam the same as the one with the large numbers 050k, ie 20% quicker i would be a very happy customer. my name and address is lawrence palmer, 133, gracedieu road, whitwick, leicestershire, le67 5ap, united kingdom. thanks and i hope to do business w
