G2 “Stock Ratio” Aluminum Throttle Tube for Beta
Replace your stock Beta plastic throttle tube with G2’s stock ratio aluminum version. Not only will you enjoy the ultra smooth throttle action of the Delrin bushings, you can also easily replace your motorcycle grips in the future.
G2 Throttle Tubes are machined in the USA from 6061 aluminum. The “grip” area has an internal knurl pattern to provide an adhesion surface without increasing the grip area dimension (and a bulky grip feel). The tube is then polished for a superior finish before anodized our standard “G2 Red”. Delrin bushings are inserted into each end of the tube. These “self-lubricating” Delrin bushings prevent aluminum-to-aluminum contact with the handlebar. They also provide a smooth “ball bearing” feel without the maintenance of a ball bearing system.
How are Delrin bushings better than ball bearings?
Ball bearing equipped throttle tubes seem like a great idea. Once installed and you’re twisting the throttle (with the bike on a stand and the engine off) it sure feels sweet! But give it a “real world test”. While you’re sitting on the bike, apply a bit of downward pressure on the grip as you turn. You will immediately feel the aluminum tube contact the handlebar. With G2 Throttles, the Delrin bushings prevent this completely! Push down all you want! In addition, ball bearings require constant maintenance, or the bearing will corrode and ultimately seize. Not so with our Delrin bushing equipped throttle tubes!

Barely noticeable difference on a 2 stroke. If your looking to tame your bike try a stronger power valve spring or a combination of both.

Taking a 500 to tight singletrack can be a bit of a handful with the snatchy throttle. This seriously helped those throttle inputs at slower speeds.
The only thing I don’t like is that it seems to take ~50% throttle to get back to the stock profile. I wish this was slow from 0-25, and regular from 0-100
